From 8/5/2010 to 24/8/2010
Exhibition of the chateau royal of Blois
Festivities and Crimes during the Renaissance
Painted and sculpted portraits, history paintings, engravings and propaganda pamplets, arms and armor, and objets d’art lent by the Louvre, the National Museum of Pau, and other numerous museums and collectors in France and Europe, all contribute in bringing to life this troubled period in French history. The exhibition’s scenography and multimedia renew the image of Henri III, an unpopular king often typecast in a voluptuous legend or a dark legend.
Numerous events and activities during the exhibition (Show of swordfighters, balls, dances, Renaissance music, special tours with storytellers….).
Grand Renaissance Ball on Saturday, June 12, 2010
